Student Support
Scholarships, counselling and skills that sit alongside the classroom.
Scholarship and Freeship
A number of merit-based scholarships and awards are conferred to academically exceptional students. Need-based scholarships are also available from the Government, the University of Mumbai and the institution. Those who wish to apply should write to the Principal through the scholarship committee after the invitation notice is put up.
For detailed information, contact the College Administrator in the office.
Guidance for competitive exams
Teachers are committed to guiding students outside class if they need facilitation for competitive exams such as NET, SET and Registered Dietitian (RD), on an informal basis.
Career counselling
Career counselling helps students understand the courses they will master, future prospects of specialisations, job opportunities and options for further study.
We believe our alumni are among our strongest advocates. Departments invite them for sessions, workshops and talks to guide young minds through their experience of the work world.
Soft skills development
Soft skills are the personal attributes that help manage different domains of life and interpersonal relationships. The college conducts programmes, sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing these attributes for growth in personal and professional life.
Personal counselling centre
Personal counselling offers a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore concerns — stress, loss, difficult relationships, isolation, academic performance and more. Our professional counsellor can support students through the challenges they face and help them reach personal and academic goals.
Diet counselling centre
A diet counselling centre has been established for students facing underweight, obesity and other health-related issues. A major activity is the annual health mela for teaching, non-teaching and support staff and students — including assessment of body composition, bone mineral density, lung function, and screening for anaemia and thalassemia, along with sessions on health and nutrition.
Yoga and meditation
As per the government directive, International Day of Yoga is celebrated every year on 21 June. Yoga expert Ms. Sharavari Kalantre, our ex-student and trained yoga therapist and dietitian, is invited with her team to conduct sessions for staff and students. It is planned and executed by the NSS cell and Diet Counselling cell.
To inculcate the habit of a healthy body for a healthy mind, Alternative Health Therapy is offered as a subject at the Masters level across specialisations.
